Artist Statement

This is mandatory for exhibiting at 317 Main. Due Monday, 3/29

When writing an Artist Statement it is good to consider the following, keeping in mind that the reader (usually in a gallery, perhaps on the web) is curious about what makes you tick as an artist: speak to what inspires you, what mediums you like to use and why, and perhaps write a wee something about your portrait that is in this show. You have already written statements that are on your iWeb page. Look those over and tweak them for this--in most cases that will be fine. You don't need to speak about anything specific other than this portrait, as folks viewing the 317 show won't know what you are speaking about.
